Honest answer: today, we could. Every connection uses TLS in transit and your mail lives on servers we run ourselves, but it is not encrypted in a way that locks us out, so a valid legal order could compel access, the same as any mail provider that is not end-to-end encrypted. What is different: we are Muslim-owned, we run our own servers in Helsinki, we put no ads in your inbox, and we never sell, profile, or train on your mail. We do not offer end-to-end encryption, the kind where not even we could read your mail, and we will not claim otherwise. The trust page explains exactly what we do and do not protect.
